Newspaper weeds away
Plant your flowers, vegetables etc, work the nutrients in your soil. Layer wet newspapers around the plants overlapping as you go. Cover with mulch and forget about the weeds. Weeds will get through some gardening plastic they will not get through wet newspapers.
Squirrel Away!
To keep squirrels from eating your plants sprinkle your plants with cayenne pepper. The cayenne pepper doesn't hurt the plant and the squirrels won't come near it.

Karen, glad you got a GBBD post up. Your flowers are lovely. Watch that false sunflower though. It will soon try to take over. I love your hen and chicks. I have become so fascinated with them this year. Aren't those pink and white lilies pretty? Thanks for sharing!
I think the rose is my favorite.
Cute boot! I am a poet and don't even know it! ;) Not a good one though.
Hi there Karen, great to see another late posting :-D
I was late with my post too but as you have said it is the taking part that counts :-)
I loved your blooms. My favs were the Hollyhock, coreopsis, lilies and of course the drumstick alliums. My drumsticks have a bit to go before they flower here in Scotland but I have a good show of purple sensation alliums at the moment. I love alliums in the garden :-D
Enjoy the rest of your week :-D
Karen thanks for dropping by my blog !
I love your ID picture "I love gardening" .. really cute : )
