Newspaper weeds away
Plant your flowers, vegetables etc, work the nutrients in your soil. Layer wet newspapers around the plants overlapping as you go. Cover with mulch and forget about the weeds. Weeds will get through some gardening plastic they will not get through wet newspapers.
Squirrel Away!
To keep squirrels from eating your plants sprinkle your plants with cayenne pepper. The cayenne pepper doesn't hurt the plant and the squirrels won't come near it.

Wow! you even managed to find a song on a green theme! thanks so much for sharing these.
The giant raindrop on the giant elephant ear was a beautiful shot. This has been a fun idea to highlight the wonderful assortment of leaves.
Great slideshow, Karen! This has been fun viewing all the different greens that people have found in their gardens.
Karen that was a great slideshow. That was cool that you added appropriate music too.
This has been a great year around here for leaves. Lots of rain, so the leaves look really good right now.
I hope it continues this way for the rest of the summer!
