Ahhhh Lavender

Hot lavender, mints, savory, marjoram; The marigold, that goes to bed wi' th' sun,And with him rises weeping; these are flow'rsOf middle summer, and I think they are givenTo men of middle age.
Lavender and Shakespeare (Winters Tale, iv. 4)

Busy Bees..........

They love the lavender..........

These are some cuttings from my Lavender plant that I posted about last month. They look a little droopy in this picture that I took a couple of weeks ago, I moved them to a different location and they seem to be holding up better.

Lavender is a plant I don't have, but wish I did. Yours is lovely as are all your blooms for Bloom Day. I've noticed, too, that bees are drawn to purple and lavender.

Hi Karen. I love wandering thru your site and looking at all your flowers.

I have tried and tried to grow lavender. It never survives the winter for me. Yours is beautiful. You inspire me to try again.

You have enough lavender that you could make lavender wands. I used to make them when my daughters lavender would bloom up a storm like this. I can't seem to grow lavender unfortunately.

I love it! I will have to post a picture of mine. The bees do love it. I did loose two plants this past winter, but had picked up some at the end of the season last year and they survived.
